My home town is Casper,
Wyoming, where I lived for the first 28 years of my life.
Well... actually 27 and a half, as I was born in Las Vegas
and moved to Wyoming when I was just a few months old. Wyoming
has the distinction of having the country's first National
Park,
Yellowstone;
as well as the country's first national monument, Devils
Tower. I graduated from Casper College, with a degree in
drafting, and I am currently working for a structural and
civil engineering firm in Anchorage, Alaska. In addition
to technical drafting, I also create computer generated
renderings
like this one of
a proposed ice arena in Wasilla, Alaska. Alaska turned
out to be the perfect place for me to settle down as I enjoy
spending time in the outdoors hiking, camping, riding my
mountain bike, cross country and downhill skiing, and anything
else that gets me outside. Here in Anchorage the wilderness
is right out the front door...
literally.
Before meeting Kirt, life highlights included jumping out
of a perfectly good airplane (with a parachute), getting
a
blackbelt in karate,
and for a month in the summer of 1993 touring Rome, Venice
and Florence,
Italy. After
meeting Kirt I'd have to say the hightlight so far was to
be
married
to him on Whistler Mountain in Whistler, BC, Canada.
